The Coronavirus and the New Life Dynamic
It seems like everything has been turned upside down as we have all been trying to navigate a completely different life dynamic due to the influence of the coronavirus.
Some people are finding that being at home in isolation is more of a challenge than they ever imagined. For example, many workaholics choose to work so many hours because it is a way to keep distracted from some of those old underlying issues they don’t want to think about. Now at home—and perhaps with reduced hours—some of those old issues are coming to the surface. So, it is important to know that resources are available.
I mentioned in an earlier blog that therapists can conduct sessions via phone, Skype or Zoom to make sure that clients are supported.
And, when we are all back up and running, some people may still be reluctant to risk exposure. Again there are online resources. For example, a couple who will be giving birth in the near future, may want to consider doing online hypnosis birthing classes coupled with a birthing center facility as opposed to giving birth in a hospital. Those kinds of difficult decisions may arise even after things return to normal.
The important thing to keep in mind is that there is support out there for anyone who chooses to reach out.
Wishing you healthiness during these challenging times.
